Wang, during his visit, emphasized a “ reset ” of sorts in bilateral relations with India. His visit purported to set the stage for mutually beneficial relations between Asia’s two giants by focusing on trade and investment.
Beijing: Diplomatic tensions escalated over the Dalai Lama's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, as China on Wednesday warned to take "necessary measures" to defend its territorial sovereignty and interests after India "obstinately" permitted the Tibetan spiritual leader to visit the "disputed" parts of its northeastern state.
New Delhi: The Chinese media on Thursday described India's move to allow Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama to visit Arunachal Pradesh despite China's objection as “clumsy and rude”.
